iOS 11 Release Date: Apple fans have long been looking forward to 2017 for a very important, and widely known reason. It has been 10 whole years since the Cupertino-based company changed the way people saw smartphones with the launch of the iPhone back in 2007. Apple’s flagship smartphone has come a long way since then, and 2016’s iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus launch was one of the biggest talking points of the tech world. But while Apple did make some massive changes to the iconic device, it is widely speculated that they have saved the best for 2017, better known as their heavily anticipated tenth year anniversary. And we all know what’s coming- the Apple iPhone 8 and the iOS 11. In this article, we will be providing the official iOS 11 Release Date.
While many sources still speculate that the iPhone 8 may not be coming out in 2017, this year will still see something revolutionary regarding the newest member of the iPhone family. However Apple wishes to brand and market it, the 2017 iPhone is expected to pack in some exhaustive new technology as far as rumors go. But such technological upgrades will obviously be accompanied by the software that powers the 2017 iPhone, and that’s why we’re here conjecturing about the iOS 11 Release Date.
The iOS 11 will most assuredly be coming out in 2017 in tandem with the upcoming iPhone, and it will pack in some solid new features to make the new instalment in the long line of flagships stand out among all the competition. And we all know that the competition will be tough. So the new iOS 11 might afford Apple a big edge over the likes of Samsung and LG, all of whom have big releases lined up for this year. But when will the iOS 11 be launched?
Looking back at Apple’s software launch history, the iOS 10 was released alongside the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in September 2016. But the latest software to have rolled out of Apple was initially announced officially at the Worldwide Developers Conference, better known to the world as WWDC, in June last year. The time in the middle was used by the company wisely to push out the 1OS 10 Beta. Having users sign up for the iOS 10 Beta allowed the company to gain important feedback from users about the pros and cons of the software. The testing is a major step towards building a more stable software that is fortified by user feedback. Several earlier versions of the iOS have also adhered to this norm. This pattern of Apple Inc. makes predicting the iOS 11 Release Date quite easy indeed.

This will be followed by the Beta testing being rolled out by July (for which you can sign up at Apple’s official website). As for the iOS 11 Release Date, we are tempted to predict that it will be released officially by mid-September 2017.
iOS 11 Release: Possible Dates?
Thanks to the latest announcements from Apple, it is now possible to guess at the tentative dates as to when Apple will introduce the iOS 11.
Apple introduced the iOS 11 at the WWDC 2017 event, which took place between June 5 and 9. This fell into the expected schedule that Apple usually follows when it comes to the iOS 11 release date. In general, Apple previews a new version of the OS every year at the WWDC keynote, while it goes into beta soon after. The final launch takes place sometime during the middle of September after the announcement of the iPhone model of the year, which finally goes on sale a couple of days later. The iOS 11 schedule has been right on track so far, and it is becoming increasingly clear that Apple is getting ready to launch the iOS 11. The beta program has been particularly successful this year, and Apple has recently previewed the ARKit apps for the iPhone and iPad.
[If that happens as we expect it to, then the anticipated September release date for iOS 11 will be right on schedule.]
If that is the case, then the anticipated iOS 11 release date should be in September. However, new reports suggest that this might be delayed considerably. This comes after the news surfaced that the iPhone 8’s launch might well be delayed due to a late production window. Noted Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says that mass production for the iPhone 8 might not happen on schedule, therefore delaying the commercial release of the device. This could be related to the large order of curved OLED display panels that the company had placed with Samsung.
This could mean one of two things for the iOS 11. Either it will be launched in September along with the iPhone 7S variants that were due to be launched with the iPhone 8, or, Apple could wait to commercially launch the platform with the anniversary edition iPhone itself. Another possibility is that the iPhone 8 might be officially unveiled in September as planned along with the two other variants, with sales starting much later. Going by Kuo’s speculation, many believe that the iPhone 8’s availability could be delayed to the Spring of 2017. But will it be a good strategic move on behalf of the company to introduce a device only to introduce it in the market at a much later date? Guess we will find out when the time comes. For now, we are eagerly looking forward to June 5 when we expect iOS 11 to be officially announced and all its secrets revealed.
